Differick Drive, Lesmahagow (off Hillcrest)
This is an interesting housing development in that cars are mainly separated from the houses. There are some blocks of houses in Differick Drive but most houses form terraces that run at right angles to the road. Generous use of grassed open areas helps the look of the development. Boughden Way runs at the end of Differick Drive and Gateside Walk runs parallel to Balgray Road and joins up to the scheme. Apart from the first photo, Hillcrest is not included here as there is a separate gallery for Hillcrest. The design of the scheme is similar to one in Kirkmuirhill based on Hawthorndene and Hunters Way.
These photos were taken on the 18th June 2018. The naming of the terraces off Differick Drive is confusing and not shown on Google Maps. Those on the left of Differick Drive are numbered as part of Hillcrest and those on the right as part of Gateside Walk. My thanks to the residents of this area who pointed this out when I posted the photos on Facebook.
Hillcrest, shown here, is a turning off Balgray Road and Differick Drive is the turning off Hillcrest in the middle of the photo.
