Glebe Gardens, Lesmahagow
Glebe Gardens is a purpose-built sheltered housing development in Lesmahagow convenient for the shops, medical centre and buses. The largest building, Glebe Gardens Hall offers communal facilities and has recently been extended to asist in its current role as a Day Care Centre. Several local organisations use the Hall for evening activities. Glebe Gardens is accessed from Langdykeside off Abbeygreen.

Changes

In 2015, work was begun in extending the Glebe Hall for extra facilities to become a day care centre in addition to its original function as a community centre for the sheltered housing.
The beautiful gardens shown above in 2014 had to be changed. Faced with having to make severe cuts to meet its budget, South Lanarkshire Council cut its elaborate flower beds throughout the county and went for simpler low-maintenance beds as seen in the photos in 2018
