The Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway runs along the shore of the Firth of Forth near Grangemouth. It is operated by The Scottish Railway Preservation Society.

On our return journey from a Christmas Holiday in South Queensferry, we called at Bo'ness to see the last part of the Diesel Gala.

Preparing the last train of the day at dusk. Loco 37175 will push the train back to allow another loco 20020 to join it at the front.
The class 20 diesel has now joined the train and, after some difficulty making control connectios between the locos, the train is ready to leave.
The video shows the last train of the day at the Bo'ness and Kinniel Railway Diesel Gala on the 29th December 2012. Three diesel locos on one train; 20020 and 37175 at the front and 47643 at the rear.
The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is one of the oldest and longest narrow gauge railways in England. Using 15 inch track, it runs from Ravenglass in West Cumbria seven miles up to Dalegarth for Boot some 210ft above sea level.
My wife and I visited this railway on the 6th and 7th September 2009.
